Please Help Me on a Social Twitter Experiment

I just got curious about how people would really react if they are asked to tweet something, and what Twitter as a social environment is really capable of. So, I decided to do an experiment and put my sincere ask on steroids — please Tweet This Post!. And Follow Me on Twitter! πŸ™‚ I’ll post/tweet the summary of the results. Meantime, place your bets into comments.

  • By clicking on the Tweet This Post! link opens the twitter web page in new browser window/tab with update text-box pre-filled Asko’s Blog: Please Help Me on a Social Twitter Experiment: — click on Update button there to post the tweet. (Some users have already reported, that the link doesn’t pre-fill the text-box for them — if that’s the case for you as well, then just copy-paste the emphasized text from here. I am not sure about the reason and don’t know the quick fix for this)
  • Clicking the Follow Me on Twitter! takes you to my tweets page on Twitter web site, but it actually doesn’t subscribe you yet to follow my tweets automatically — for this you also have to click the “Follow” button there (you’ll get a low additional tweet-traffic on this — I am posting a tweet or couple per week).

I just want to see, what is going to happen on this. I couldn’t help myself.

I’ll post the summary of the results — if you follow me on Twitter or subscribe to my blog feed, you’ll be automatically updated.

Meantime, place your bets into comments, what do you think the results are going to look like by next Wednesday (8.04.2009) — budget for the prize includes the announcement of the proud winner (in the summary and tweet). The winner will be the one who describes the outcome most precisely.

Thank you all in advance who are going to help on this experiment! πŸ™‚
