Testing Post Notification to Subscribed Email — Does It Work?

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

Just turned on the email subscription widget (check the sidebar at right). By theory and promises, it should send an email to subscribers, if a new post is published on this blog. This post tests for me, if it really works.

The DailyPerfect News Site Is Publicly Launched

Friday, June 5th, 2009

As usual with well prepared launches, the most exciting and rewarding moments are the last count-down moments before the launch, and observing the smooth lift-off of the baby – the first 400 users signing up in first 3 hours. These are the moments to live for!

I Almost Thought My Old University Time Homepage Is Lost for Good

Monday, April 20th, 2009

Do you lack a dose of nostalgy? Go on, and discover what has been there in the internet in the past. I just discovered 50 snapshots of my old homepage. The real gem is the only studio recording of our band. It is recorded on spring 1997. I am the middle singer (especially distinctive when screaming the high pitches at fourth verse) and doing the rhythm chords on nylon string guitar.

Please Help Me on a Social Twitter Experiment

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

I just got curious about how people would really react if they are asked to tweet something, and what Twitter as a social environment is really capable of. So, I decided to do an experiment and put my sincere ask on steroids — please Tweet This Post!. And Follow Me on Twitter! :-) I’ll post/tweet the summary of the results. Meantime, place your bets into comments.

How Does an Average Transaction in the Internet Look Like

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

Yesterday I got curious about how does an average transaction in the internet look like. To get some answer to this, I filed the following questions under the LinkedIn’s E-Commerce Q&A section:

  1. How much did you pay for your last purchase in the Internet?
  2. If it is not secret, what was the thing that you purchased? (some product? service? what exactly?)

I also chose an option to send the question by email to 200 of my direct contacts (that was the maximum allowed).

Great thanks to all who responded!

These are the results:

No Good Tool to Post from Mobile

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

Didn’t find any decent WordPress plugin for posting from mobile over internet connection.

Looked also for a workaround. Hoped to use some standalone moblogging site and sync the WordPress blog with the moblog with a dedicated plugin (like the twitter plugin here, but applicable to any generic RSS feed). Stuck again. No easy to click plugin.

Developers, any takers?
