I have got also couple of times questions on "where did you discover this or that?" while exhaustive answer has been just a link to search engine result page on the person's name combined with the information bit in question. There are of course more complex deduction chains than that also, but it is still the information on the internet. I manually track my footprint in terms of scattered profiles: http://delicious.com/poquatelhar/my ... but it is also interesting how the privacy-nuts believe you can achieve /no/ footprint, while for normal net usage you at best (worst?) can only have a small, poorly representative footprint.
